I'm a photographer who captures unique and unexpected moments through my lens. You'll find my work includes everything from sunrises and intriguing doors to sand-covered pebbles and wildlife. I call myself an opportunist because I embrace the chance to photograph whatever catches my eye, no matter how ordinary or extraordinary. I've opened Gallerie Schmetterling to display my favourite photographs and share them with you. I almost always carry my cameras when I go walking or traveling. My family is accustomed to me chasing butterflies until they pause for me to capture their beauty.
Every image in Gallerie Schmetterling is my original work. I can tell you the story behind each and every one. Just ask. They are all limited editions and each print comes with authentication and will be numbered.
In case you didn't know, "Schmetterling" means butterfly in German. (When I'm not immersed in photography or spending time with family, I have a deep passion for butterflies.) The name honours my mother, my biggest supporter, who was German. This gallery is dedicated to her.
I release only a handful of images each year, and each as a limited edition of ten. It’s a conscious choice: to keep my work intimate, personal, and collectible — so that every print represents a true connection between viewer, place, and moment.
On occasion, a single image may be offered in a slightly larger or smaller edition, but never beyond twenty-five. Every edition carries its own quiet story and will never be repeated!
