Alpacas are some really interesting animals. Their faces are full of character and mischief. I have been trying to find a farm where I can photograph them. As these things go, a friend of my son actually works on Stanton’s Farm where they home 28! I got an invitation to visit the farm with my camera, and couldn’t wait to get there.

This is when something that I can only call magical happens.

I thought I’d share another behind the scenes this week. This time the run up to the Under the Rainbow exhibition at Bluewater.

A last-minute decision to get away saw me and my cameras in Brugge for a few days.

We begin to climb into the mountains, and are immediately excited as it would appear that the wind has chased the hares into a group high on the mountain side.

Allow me to reminisce on a previous captivating journey into the heart of the Scottish wilderness.

London is full of very well known and very well documented landmarks but I prefer to try and find some different corners.

Something a little different, this week. I have heard that feeling gratitude and not expressing it, is like wrapping a present and not giving it. So, I have decided to share things I am thankful for.

Offered the opportunity to photograph some owls at Gauntlet Birds of Prey – Eagle & Vulture Park, Knutsford, I couldn’t say, ‘No’.

I thought I’d give you a little behind the scenes of all the work that goes into a craft fair.

Not sure if you all do this, but I wanted to stop somewhere that might have something photographically interesting nearby.

Having your own business means that you never really have time off. Being a photographer too means that I always have my cameras with me.

The coast here is wonderful, the Irish, four seasons in one day, weather means that the grass is a gorgeous green. Ireland isn’t called the emerald isle for nothing.

My main mission here is to see the Giant’s Causeway, one of the hundreds of things on my ‘places to see’ list. This is a very long list and if I live to 100, I am unlikely to see everything on it.

The light today is amazing, with a warm golden touch to it, after the recent rains, it’s a really glorious autumn day.

I walk through the woods and I see the white tail of a doe running away from me, I see nothing but squirrels.

Just as it was time to go home, the sun broke through the clouds.

I occasionally get suggestions of places to go by customers. Some of these places pique my interest and I immediately look and work out how to get there. Dovercourt was one such place.
